SMS / Messaging Terms
Last updated: August 2026
1. What this program is
LocalReview Direct operates a business-to-customer messaging program. Local service businesses use our platform to send their customers a text message after a completed job, inviting them to leave a Google review. Messages are sent from a dedicated number assigned to that business.
2. Who receives messages and why
Only customers who have completed a transaction or job with a business using LocalReview Direct receive messages from that business. Messages are review requests and related transactional notices — never third-party marketing.
3. Consent requirements
Businesses may only message customers where they have a lawful basis and any consent required by applicable law (including the TCPA and carrier A2P 10DLC rules). Consent is captured by the business at the point of sale, booking, or through their own intake process. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase.
4. How to opt out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages from that business. Opt-outs take effect immediately and are permanent unless you later re-subscribe by replying START. You may receive one final confirmation message after opting out.
5. How to get help (HELP)
Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email support@localreviewdirect.com.
6. Message frequency
Message frequency may vary. It depends on how many jobs you complete with the business — typically one review request per completed job, with duplicate and frequency protections applied.
7. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply to messages you receive, depending on your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Mobile opt-in information and consent records are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
9. Support contact
